Dr. Bilal Ahmed earned his medical degree at the University of Toledo College of Medicine and completed ophthalmology residency at the University of Iowa, where he served as Chief Resident and Chief Medical Editor of EyeRounds. Dr. Ahmed is passionate about delivering personalized, high-quality surgical care with a focus on advanced cataract techniques and refractive solutions.
Originally from Elizabethtown, Kentucky, Dr. Ahmed graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pikeville, where he also played college tennis. With close ties to both Kentucky and Ohio, he is also the host of a podcast focused on helping residents and medical students thrive during training.
