Dr. Rachel Mathie is a residency-trained optometrist offering comprehensive eye care services and treatment and management of various ocular diseases.
Dr. Mathie is an Ohio native and graduated from Louisville High School. She is a “double buckeye”, having earned a Bachelor of Science at The Ohio State University, and Doctorate of Optometry at the Ohio State University College of Optometry, graduating Magna Cum Laude. She continued her education by pursuing an ocular disease residency at the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center, where she learned complex disease management of the eyes. Dr. Mathie is an active member of the optometry community, where she’s given several continuing education lectures as well as presented at conferences including at the American Academy of Optometry annual meeting. She is passionate about lifelong learning to provide exceptional care to her patients.
She enjoys running, cycling, volleyball, traveling, and spending time with her husband and family. She currently resides in Cleveland, Ohio.
