Dr. Derek Metz is from Jackson Center, Ohio. His career in optometry stemmed from a lifelong interest in the sciences as well as healthcare. He graduated with a degree in biology from Wittenberg University in 2013 and then in 2017 he completed his doctorate of optometry at the Ohio State University. His areas of interest are in primary care and dry eye disease. In his free time Dr. Metz enjoys fishing, hiking, skiing, as well as spending quality time with his wife and daughter.
